Does anyone know if the new developer preview of FX for Linux is in
the Netbeans daily builds or does it actually have to be installed
manually?

TIA.

I am not sure about daily builds

From the link:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javafx/downloads/devpreview-1429449.html?msgid=3-5928726588

And installation (from the above link):
http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/release_notes_linux/jfxpub-release_notes_linux.htm
You have to download and then install per above link instructions...

I am also trying to locate a Eclipse FX 2.x plugin for Indigo (3.7) and
I have yet to try FX 2.1 on Netbeans 7.1.

Thanks Daniel.  I had read those documents but there was no mention of
whether it had been included in daily builds of Netbeans.  So I tried
the current daily build and it is NOT included.  Furthermore it is
only available for 32 bit Linux systems.  Wonder how many of those are
hanging around with developers?  I'm sure there are a number of "home"
users but I doubt many Linux/Java developers are using a 32 bit box.
I'm sure it's been a decade since I had one of those!  So I have to
continue to wait to try FX since I don't do windoze, I don't do Mac
and I don't do 32 bit anymore.  Oh, yea, and I don't do Ubuntu either.
I just develop Java desktop applications on Linux!  :)
