Creating new project from existing GitHub

LogicalUnit
Hi everyone, I have a newbie question:

I would like to begin working on code that lives on an existing GitHub repository. What's the correct procedure for creating a new project with this code?

I am using NetBeans 8.2 on Windows 7 64-bit. I have enabled Git, although I forget exactly how.

On the Team->Git menu, choose the Clone command to clone the Git repo to
your local machine.
